The meat is seasoned beautifully and has a slight sweetness to it. Basically, taro is made into a thick paste and a dried egg yolk is used as the centrepiece, with the thick taro paste moulded around it. Lightly dusted with a nice batter and then dropped in the fryer for a short time, these are something special. Expect a crunchy exterior, soft filling, with that kind of savoury sweet flavour that taro often packs.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Oyster pancake<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u5e72\u8c9d\u86b5\u714e\u00a0g\u0101n b\u00e8i \u00e9 ji\u0101n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>$480<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10312\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/staging\/5148\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc03230.jpg?resize=4912%2C3264&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC03230\" width=\"4912\" height=\"3264\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Egg + oysters = heaven. Again, a special from <a href=\"https:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/staging\/5148\/2018\/05\/18\/taipei-city-\u5713\u74b0\u908a\u86b5\u4ed4\u714e-ningxia-oyster-omelet\/\">NingXia night market<\/a>, this one is slightly crunchier on the outside with less sauce (a good thing, definitely a plus point in this ones favour!).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Lots of oysters, delicious flavours running throughout, and plenty of sauce to boot. It was solid, but I kind of felt it didn&#8217;t go with the rest of the meal. Just incase that wasn&#8217;t enough of a persuasion, I will tell you what to expect when you finally get these onto your chopsticks: crunchiness, saltiness, natural sweetness of the pork, delectable addictiveness.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>You have to order this ^<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The interesting thing about Golden Formosa&#8217;s Michelin Star, is that it is completely different to the Michelin Stars of other restaurants around Taipei, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/eatingintaipei.com\/2017\/11\/27\/taipei-city-mume\/\">MUME<\/a>. With MUME you expect intricate and expertly executed dishes served up with an explanation and description. Here, at Golden Formosa, you should expect big portions of rustic Taiwanese dishes served up with a smile.
