So, please stay with me as I say century egg&#8230; I mean, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/tsunamigogostore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook page<\/a> calls itself Tsunami Gogo, but I couldn&#8217;t bring myself to call it that on my post.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">So, this store specialises in noodles, specifically those lathered with minced meat and chopped up century egg. Still interested? Good! Because, really, it&#8217;s quite tasty. In addition, people line up for this most days, so it&#8217;s gotta have something about it, right?<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">House special dry noodles with sauce (small portion)<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u56db\u865f\u4e7e\u9eb5 (\u5c0f) s\u00ec h\u00e0o g\u0101n mi\u00e0n (xi\u01ceo)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>$70<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10606 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/staging\/5148\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc01542.jpg?resize=3115%2C2117&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC01542\" width=\"3115\" height=\"2117\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">This is the house special, and actually, it&#8217;s probably the nicest dish we have tried, here (we&#8217;ve been here a bunch of times, too).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10607 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/staging\/5148\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc01546.jpg?resize=4088%2C2716&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC01546\" width=\"4088\" height=\"2716\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Minced pork is mixed in with shallots and chopped up with century egg and a special house sauce. It&#8217;s then ladelled on top of noodles and served with a few boiled greens on the side. The sauce itself has an earthy, eggy, rich, fried oniony taste. The noodles are very well cooked, too.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\">Spicy century egg noodles (small)<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u7d05\u6cb9\u76ae\u86cb\u9eb5 (\u5c0f) h\u00f3ng y\u00f3u p\u00ed d\u00e0n mi\u00e0n (xi\u01ceo)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>$55<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10604 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/eatingintaipei.com\/staging\/5148\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/dsc01536.jpg?resize=4088%2C2716&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"DSC01536\" width=\"4088\" height=\"2716\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The bowls look almost identical, right? However, this bowl has quite a good level of spice running through the sauce ladelled on top, which adds a different element to the dish. It also doesn&#8217;t have the small portion of veggies on the side. The vegetable here is water spinach, which is deliciously crunchy, earthy and green tasting. It&#8217;s one of those that just tastes healthy with every bite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I also picked up a plate of kimchi \u6ce1\u83dc p\u00e0o c\u00e0i (left) and pork head skin \u8c6c\u982d\u76ae zh\u016b t\u00f3u p\u00ed(right). The kimchi here is quite tasty and sour, and the pork head skin is fatty, meaty, chewy, crunchy, and smokey.
