XinYi District is, overall, pretty pricey. This Thai places definitely isn’t, and is pretty tasty, to boot!

Maokong – a beautiful mountainside area to spend some time on the weekend. Ride the cable car/gondola up to the top from Taipei Zoo MRT Station.
Solid Taiwanese food, home-cooked atmosphere and feeling throughout. I highly recommend this.
