Opened up a while back, Sushiro Sushi is a chain sushi conveyor belt-type restaurant popular in Japan. This is the XiMen branch.

This is the counter to pay your bill after you’ve finished eating, but you can also take out from here, too.
Inside Sushiro Sushi
The eagle-eyed among you may have noticed that the wait for a table at the time of the pic was 25 mins at around 17:30. But, when we left, it was over 1hr wait.

My recommendation? Book in advance using Sushiro Sushi app. Alternatively, get there around 17:00/17:30 and prepare for a short wait.

Sitting next to the conveyor belt can be dangerous in terms of quickly racking up a quick bill at Sushiro Sushi, but it’s also a lot of fun and you definitely feel like a kid again.

    Just keep in mind, that: Red = $40, Silver = $60, Gold = $80, and Black= $100 and you’ll be fine!

    Sushiro tuna
How good does this fatty tuna look? You can almost see the silky fat dripping off. Unlike the usual tuna cut, this cut contains more fat and once it is in my mouth, it sort of melt in my mouth. Overall, a really impressive dish.
    Sushiro mayonnaise smothered salmon
This mayonnaise smothered salmon with cheese went down well, too. If you’d like to have your dish freshly made, make sure to order through the tablet, and you’ll be able to feel the warm scorched cheese.
    Sushiro tuna roll
Also a good option is the tuna roll.
    Sushiro Japanese eel
The premium Japanese eel went down a treat. The soy sauce flavour is not overpowering and it balance out the grease of the eel.

No idea what these are but got them out of interest. I won’t get them again. These were way too chewy and lacking in any flavour. I don’t recommend.
    tempura shrimp
This was pretty good with a tempura shrimp running through the middle

    Thumbs up from me.

    Snow crab
Snow crab was pretty good but it wasn’t shockingly amazing.

I would quite happily order several of these. Really good.

    Flame-scorched salmon
Flame-scorched salmon is always the top choice. The fat melt down and bring out the salmon flavour, I can have 4 plates of these. Overall, I find the salmon here really tasty. So if you are not sure what to order, stick with the salmon is a safe call.

    Octopus
    Octopus

Another I would say to give a miss. Why? It’s more about texture than flavour, which isn’t a bad thing in some instances. However, the leaf under the octopus and between the rice gives more flavour than the octopus does, and over powers everything. However, if you like the texture of octopus, you might enjoy it.

    Steamed egg
    Steamed egg

Don’t leave without a nice warm steamed egg dish at Sushiro Sushi. Delicious, with chunks of fish running throughout. They have a variety of desserts, however, I was quite full and couldn’t order more to try. A mango shaved ice sounds pretty decent after sushi in a hot summer day. If you’ve tried any of the dessert and find them tasty, please let me know.
